These are pre-built boards. The majority of your solar system is mounted onto a mounting panel. On the mounting panel are your inverter, your charge controller and a medium sized AC/DC breaker box. Within the breaker box you'll find your Inverter's D/C disconnect on one of the main inverter cables, as well as a PV/solar disconnect, an A/C out disconnect, an A/C in/charger disconnect and finally your A/C and D/C lightning arresters.

This is the "convenient" setup. When you choose a pre-built board; it just needs to be mounted to a wall, connected to your distribution circuit/household breaker panel and have the solar panels and batteries connected.
